We are urgently looking for 5 volunteers from Italy, Romania, Hungary, Germany and France to accepted EVS project in Cracow, starting in February 2017.

EVS Project ?INTERvolunteering? invites 5 foreign volunteers from Italy, Romania, Hungary, Germany and France to come to Kraków, Poland in the period of 1st of February 2017 until 31 of July 2017 or 30 of November and within these 10 or 6 months support hosting organizations (Center for Autism, Internationaler Bund PolskaSchool and Pre-school Complex no 11 and Kindergarten no 92 in Kraków) with their activities targeting socially excluded young people and children suffering autism, children the age 3-13 and volunteers. Volunteers will also take part in set of meetings and workshops tackling the topic of interfaith dialogue. Main aims of both main and side activities are promoting social work for better understanding and acceptance of disabled people, gaining news job related and personal skills by the volunteers and raising awareness of interfaith dialogue and its importance in the modern European society.

Project description:

Centre for Autism is working with autistic kids and youngsters with emphasis on

social skills development. It consists of kindergarten, primary school,

secondary school and vocational center.

Age group: 4-25

Volunteer?s activities:

One of the core activities is the assistance during the classes and the support

teachers and therapists. Volunteer will help students with manual activities, communicating with them verbally and non-verbally and actively facilitating the learning process and development of independent living skills of participants. Volunteer will be asked to help during feeding and taking care of personal hygiene

of students. He/she can take part in additional activities for students, music, art or animal therapy, various city trips or organizing own workshops within the After Lessons Club. The schedule is flexible and will be arranged together. He/she will receive specific knowledge and trainings about autism, developmental disabilities and alternative system of communication.

Volunteer profile:

Previous experience in working in the field of supporting persons with autism is not required, though it would be additional asset. The candidate for this position should not be afraid of behaviours of people with disabilities and aware of its specifics. The person is expected to be reliable, responsible and self-organized.


Local Governmental Kindergarten No. 92 (Samorzadowe Przedszkole numer 92)

Project description:

The Local Government Kindergarten No. 92 takes care of children with a focus on education in the international environment.

Age group: 3-6

Volunteer?s activities:

The volunteer will assist in taking care of students and support the pedagogic team. Volunteer encourages children to get to know foreign language and culture and express themselves by using gesture and facial expressions. Volunteer will work in a young team of pedagogues that supports the volunteer to put own ideas into practice and to realize own activities with cultural experiences and national background.

Volunteer profile:

Previous experience withworking with children is an asset but it is not required. We are looking for the person who is interested in non-formal education, exploring new teaching methods, creative and willing to share his or her knowledge and skills with pupils.

Project description:

It has been operating since 1979 and currently is has became a educational facility for over 600 students aged from 5 to 13. School is completely equipped with computer classes, internet access, two daycare centres, cantine, gym, library, playground and a garden. School aims to ensure safety of our students and provides support of doctors, stomatologists and nurses. Our school is open from 7 am to 5 pm. The youngest students are having their classes in a school's branch 100 metres from the main facility.

Our School is a place where children feel welcomed and safe. We strive to create a sustainable conditions for intellectual and emotional development of our students.

Volunteer?s activities:

Main task of the volunteer will be the support of pupils and teachers in various activities. The volunteer will be actively involved in daily school life, while promoting European citizenship, tolerance and positive attitude towards new cultures, languages and the idea of voluntary work. The activities and the schedule are flexible and will be adapted to one?s interests. Further tasks: Participating in teachers activities and organizing activities and workshops for children in the day care room (educational games, sport activities, music, theatr etc.) participating in excursions and different school trips and helping pupils with homework.

Volunteer is obliged to write shortly reports/ notes describing their EVS experience.

The most important thing for us - are interests of volunteers, their willingness to work and motivation. We would like to host volunteers who are open, empathic and kind, ready to learn polish, ready to work with children and willingly take part in various activities during the day.


Internationaler Bund Polska

Project description:

IB Polska is a nongovernmental organization running social projects in Cracow and Tychy and realizing projects within the Erasmus+ framework. IB Polska is active as the EVS sending, hosting and coordinating organization. On average IB Polska is coordinating 25 volunteers being all the time in touch with our partners and hosting organizations.

Volunteer?s activities:

Volunteer will assist the European project team, while organizing workshops, cultural and integrational meetings and will support the organization in promotion of the activities undertaken by EVS volunteers. He/she will also assist or organize EVS promotional events in cooperation with regional partners. He/she will interact with the other volunteers in daily basis. One task is to visit the partner organizations to create a

short documentary of the volunteers work (i.e. photo exhibition, running our blog, taking care of our fb page, recording a movie or making interviews). All activities will be based on teamwork and at the same time volunteer will be encouraged to develop own projects.

Volunteer profile:

Candidate for this vacancy should be interested in photography or at least have a basic knowledge on it. Video editing and making and basic design skills is also welcomed! Previous experience of managing social media projects would be an asset. We are looking for creative person with self-initiative, who enjoys working in a team.



Candidates for this project should be interested in interfaith dialogue and aware of the project specific. We will be tackling topics of different religions in the context of multiculturalism and coexistence in the spirit of mutual respect and solidarity. Also candidates should be ready to work in intercultural environment (with volunteers from different countries) on the common project, the final result, which will be exhibition ?interreligious Kraków?.
